A fine Victorian mahogany kneehole desk, the rectangular top inset with a gilt-tooled green leather writing surface above a moulded edge, fitted with a long frieze drawer flanked by two further drawers, all with ornate brass swan-neck handles and shield-shaped back plates. The desk is raised on twin pedestals, each fitted with three graduated drawers with matching brasses, above a plinth base with a shaped kneehole to the centre. A handsome and practical piece of good rich colour, ideal for a study or office setting.
