A couple sit on a grassy bank beneath umbrellas, overlooking a lake with mountains beyond. Signed and dated to the lower right. Well presented in an ornate gilt frame with foliate ornamentation. On canvas on stretchers.

The condition is typical for a picture of this age, including some craquelure to the surface of the painting and scuffs. The old antique frame is charming in all its imperfections, with some separating at the corners.
