This weave is a modification of our original Vintage Star design, the inspiration came from early 18th Century Shaker weaving and the fabric displays the simplicity and bold reversibility of Shaker blankets. Howard Griffiths (second generation of the Griffiths family company) developed the design back in the 1980's. All our throws and blankets are finished with a simple hem so you can choose to display either side. It is woven from 100% pure new Wool so it feels just like vintage Welsh fabrics, wool has warmth weight and breathability but is still practical and easy to care for.
